An Experienced Voice for Fort Bend Families
Judge Monica Rawlins brings more than two decades of family‑law experience to her role as Presiding Judge of the 328th District Court of Fort Bend County. Elected in 2022, she previously built a respected career as a solo practitioner, handling the full range of family‑law matters and earning a reputation for professionalism and compassion.
A Houston native, Judge Rawlins earned her Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice from the University of Houston–Downtown and her Doctor of Jurisprudence from Texas Southern University’s Thurgood Marshall School of Law. Her early work with the Star of Hope Mission and the Texas Department of Family and Protective Services reflects a longstanding commitment to supporting children and families in meaningful, hands‑on ways.
Her dedication to service extends beyond the courtroom. She has volunteered with local food banks, nursing homes, charitable organizations, and community initiatives throughout the region. She is also an active member of Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, Inc.
Judge Rawlins was born and raised in Houston and is a proud mother. In her free time, she enjoys traveling, spending time with her family, and contributing to causes that strengthen the community.
